Fund climate solutions, not nuclear problems

On Wednesday 11 March, it will be 15 years ago that three core-meltdowns [and reactor pressure vessels breakthroughs] occured in Fukushima. On top of this, three nuclear power reactor buildings exploded. Climate degeneration is meanwhile increasing more rapidly than first predicted; it is more than necessary to diminish the emissions of greenhouse gases.

The nuclear lobby, pushed by military, political and some economic powers, abuse the climate crisis to greenwash nuclear as a “climate friendly” technology. Nuclear is in reality so expensive, dangerous and slow to realise, that it speeds up climate degeneration even more. Simultaneously, it increases risks for nuclear disasters in peacetime, and even more so in wartime.

That’s why European organisations and citizens demand to ban nuclear from European financing, and to fund only renewable climate solutions.
