French nuclear revival: European perspectives
Hinweis: Die Veranstaltung findet in englischer Sprache statt.
With the Belfort speech in 2022 December the 22nd, Emmanuel Macron gave the first step to begin a new pronuclear politic in France. His government promotes nuclear energy as a de-carbonized one, and a necessity to fight against climate crisis. To find the huge (and uncertain) amount of money needed to build the 6 or 8 EPR2 planned, France was recently very active to lobby the European institutions. What are the risks of this politic for our antinuclear and climate movement and how can we react?

Zur Person: Climate activist since 2015, Marion Rivet decided to focus on the antinuclear struggle in 2019 as it appears to her that a real energy transition will not be possible in France without a nuclear phase out. She joined the Réseau Sortir du nucléaire in 2023 as spokesperson and media relations officer.
